About HUSH DAMP™ Sheet Materials

BRD HUSH DAMP™ vibration damping pads are supplied in sheets approximately 0.060" thick with a peel and stick pressure sensitive adhesive backing.  When applied to metal, plastic, wood, glass and other rigid surfaces, continuous resonance and "shell ring" from impact are reduced thus lowering overall dB levels.  Vibrational energy is converted to heat instead of airborne acoustic energy.  Type EVDS-100 material is available in 54" x 40" sheets that can easily be cut with scissors, a utility knife or steel dies for production runs.  Type EVDS-200 has adhesive on both sides to form constrained layer damping systems.  EVDS-200 sandwiched between two layers of wood, steel or gypsum board creates a family of damped composites with elevated STC ratings.
