About BRD HUSH CLAD™ Absorber Panels:

Continuous mounting of HUSH CLAD™ panels on walls & ceiling of a concrete generator vault.

HUSH CLAD™ metal absorber panels utilize a highly absorptive mineral wool or fiberglass acosutic insulation to fill a channel perimeter frame with protective perforated metal skin on one side.  The back side of the panels has retaining straps to hold the insulation in place but are otherwise "backless".  Acoustic energy is absorbed in the acoustic fill after passing through the perforated front screen which is acoustically transparent but offers maximum abuse resistance.  Optional film wraps with spacers are available to protect the insulation from moisture and other adverse conditions in hostile environments.

Panel Coverage and Placement

Proper coverage will vary with the area size and shape, location of noise sources and location of key receiver(s) (people).  If building surfaces in the area to be treated are hard/reflective, as little as 30% to 40% coverage can be effective.  Spaces between HUSH CLAD™ panels do not significantly reduce performance.  Concentrating panel coverage on surfaces closest to the noise source(s) is an effective strategy to attain maximum reduction of reflective noise and echoes.
